The woman in the picture was stark naked under her blue and white striped apron. She posed in front of a backdrop of pink and purple hanging meat. With a sultry stare and delicate wisps of blonde hair brushing her cheekbones, she held a sizeable meat cleaver in her hands.

When I saw this photo on instagram I became obsessed with it, and with her. It was a woman working in a man's world while relentlessly celebrating her femininity. The woman in the picture was Lizzy Douglas, Butcher and Owner of The Black Pig in Deal, Kent.
